I just love doing this type of photography. It has nothing to do with sports or people at all, it's you the road and the camera. The only time I have to devote to this is when I take a road trip out of town alone. Most of the time coming back from some large sporting event that I covered the day before. It takes time to stop and just look at what's around you. On most of them I'm the only one on the road.

2013 Grand Prix of Long Beach

This past weekend I had the pleasure of covering the Grand Prix of Long Beach for the 1st time. There was a lot of walking to the different shooting locations, but they were great for the photos. You have to cover Indy Car racing with ear plugs because the sound from the motors of the cars is ear splitting.

Why is this man so happy? He just had one of the best runs of the season. He converted a 4^th and 29 on the Chargers

Bowl Games

35^th Holiday Bowl San Diego, CA. Dec 27, 2012; Every Holiday Bowl that I have covered over the years, they bring out this American Flag before the game. The Baylor Bears defeated the UCLA Bruins.

99^th Rose Bowl Pasadena, CA. Jan 1, 2013; It’s the Granddaddy of them all. For me it’s always a special game to cover. I can remember watching this game every New Years Day growing up in Brooklyn.

  

42^nd Fiesta Bowl Glendale, AZ. Jan 3, 2013; I enjoy making the drive over to Phoenix each year to cover this game. The game is played in a new stadium which makes it easy to work in.

Bad day in L.A.

We do have bad whether in Los Angeles. This photo was taken during the USC vs.UCLA game on Nov. 17th. at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. With clouds like this you would think that it brings a lot of rain, not that day. Just a few sprinkles during the game. UCLA won the game 38-28.
