In my travels to different cities over the years I have felt that it was important that I also try to get a photo of the City Skyline. Sometimes these photos are harder to get than the action on the field or court. For most of them I had to keep driving until I found a good spot to shoot from.

I just love doing this type of photography. It has nothing to do with sports or people at all, it's you the road and the camera. The only time I have to devote to this is when I take a road trip out of town alone. Most of the time coming back from some large sporting event that I covered the day before. It takes time to stop and just look at what's around you. On most of them I'm the only one on the road.

2013 Grand Prix of Long Beach

This past weekend I had the pleasure of covering the Grand Prix of Long Beach for the 1st time. There was a lot of walking to the different shooting locations, but they were great for the photos. You have to cover Indy Car racing with ear plugs because the sound from the motors of the cars is ear splitting.
